Reproduce. Contribute. Accept. Bound.
The public history shows what was proposed, what maintainers changed, what shipped, and what the relationship does not imply.
The work began with a narrow, reproducible boundary.
CTX failed to compile on macOS ARM64 because stat output differed by platform. Codex Security needed explicit repository scope before inventory could be trusted.

Acceptance improved the implementation without erasing its origin.
CTX maintainers added signed device identity handling and a regression test. OpenAI maintainers narrowed the security change while preserving the contributed design and credit.
- maintainer hardening
- retained co-author credit
The receipts show two different levels of acceptance.
CTX merged the reliability fix on August 9. OpenAI merged the security work on August 10 and released it in Codex Security 0.1.9 on August 11.

Bring one workflow that must hold up under review.
We build against the same standard: reproduce the boundary, propose the smallest change, preserve maintainer judgment, and attach the final receipt.
